Broadway Bound ~ Hambo Stamps Blog Hop!

Today I'm hopping with Hambo Stamps designers and customers, and the theme is Broadway Bound! Woohoo!! If you didn't come here by way of Jan's blog, how about heading over to the Hambo blog, Talk to the Ham, to join us for all of the Broadway + Hambo goodness?? I love the theater, and I love love love musicals!! We were supposed to depict a show with our card. Can you guess which one I chose?

Crazy plants? A psychotic dentist? Blood dripping? Yes my friends, that's right - Little Shop of Horrors!!! I love this show, it's hilarious. And kinda sick. But mostly just hilarious! To create my little scene, I edited the Mad Scientist digi in Photoshop to get rid of the brain in his hand and make him into a "dentist". With his arm up like that I thought he looked a bit like he's dancing around, unaware that the flowers behind him will soon be having him for dinner! And that's why the Smiling Flowers - 0136 are smiling - dinner has arrived! HA! I turned Hambo's Icicles - 3101 into dripping blood (mwuhahaha!) and thought the Beast Wishes - 3816 was somewhat appropriate for this beastly flower musical.

This show appeared on Broadway in 2003, but where I first fell in love with it was the movie version from 1986. Steve Martin played the sadistic dentist. Too funny!

More about the hop - did I mention - a PRIZE will be awarded to one participant whose Broadway-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits' fancy in a hammin' jammin' way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo blog, Talk to the Ham, on Tuesday, September 25. We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, September 23 at 5pm CST. Don't miss it!

Now let's continue hopping and see what other Broadway shows have been depicted in Hambo stamps! Next stop is Jen - I'll see you over there!

Stampotique Designers Challenge SDC66

Today's Stampotique Designers Challenge is hosted by Maria and is all about favors!

I decided to create a few Halloween favors, decorated with the 8951 Polka Dots background stamp and adorned with tags featuring Corie, Frankie and Skullboy! Squee!! I just adore these cutie patootie little guys. They made me smile the entire time I was making these. Even when I was STRUGGLING BIGTIME trying to create the cones. It turns out I seem to be impaired when it comes to folding paper into a cone shape. Who knew?? So just so you know - this will likely be the last time you ever see cone-shaped favors on my blog. LOL!

I do hope you'll just us over at the Stampotique Designers Challenge this week! I know all of you are not as challenged at rolling paper cones, and anyway, there are PLENTY of non-cone-shaped favors you can make. SO JOIN US! :-)

A special hippo...

Today I'm playing with my Hambos, which always brings a smile to my face!

First of all, I adore Ballerina Hippo (#1722), she's one of my all-time favorite Hambos. But the message - HA HA HA HA HA!! Yes, I giggled while I made this card! The stamp is called Be As Special (#4210). The card also has Basic Grey Plumeria papers and a little Stickles and gems for good measure.

I'm playing along with the Hambo Hoedown today, yeehaw! This week the challenge is "Anything Goes" - make any sort of card using a Hambo and you're good to go! You have until Monday, September 17 at 10pm CST to play along - you'll even get a cutie patootie digi, check the Hoedown blog for all of the details!

Hoot Hoot Hooray!

When I saw this little owl girl from MFT, I squealed!! I looooove her so much! She's called Owl Costume and I couldn't resist buying the August VIP package when I saw her!

Here's why. This was Courtney in her Halloween costume last year!

I loved this costume so much, if I do say so myself. I even made one for Courtney's best friend, Silver Bunny!

I played along the latest MFT sketch for this card.

And I'm also playing along with Linda's Recipe Swap. This week we are "In the Pink" - and as you can see, I very much took that theme to heart, LOL! My card is megapink! I played with paper, ribbon and twine I received in a fabulous package from our sponsor, Lilly Belle's Paperie & Textiles. Yummy stuff!

I hope you'll join us at the Recipe Swap, it's goes through 8:00pm EST on Saturday, September 15.

Stampotique New Release Blog Hop!!

Today is the day!! All of the new releases from Stampotique are being revealed and released today, woohoo!! You can look at them all RIGHT HERE. But warning - get your wallet ready - you are gonna want to shop!! So to celebrate this release, today the entire Stampotique team is hopping with new stamps!! You should have found me by way of Astrid Stulemeijer's blog. Or visit the Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog to see the full list of hoppers if you get lost.

Today I'm playing with another one of Kira Nichols' adorable little monsters, and I'm sending you all a big hug!

I love this little guy - he's called 4023 Little Hoo-Hoo. The way he's hugging that owl is the kind of monster hug I'm sending along with this card - so the 5244 Hug Enclosed message was just perfect to pair with it.

Now head on over to Jane Wetzel's blog to continue hopping!!

Stampotique Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Have you  been hopping along with Stampotique the past couple days?? They have some FABULOUS new rubber releasing, and I am over the moon excited about these mega cute stamps!! If you missed it, please check out Day 1 and Day 2 of hopping! As for today - after a visit to the Stampotique Designers Challege Blog, I'm kicking off Day 3, and today we are featuring the adorable little drawings of Kira Nichols. I love her monsters, they make me SMILE!

I mean seriously. Could this be any cuter? Hee hee!! I especially love the sweet little guy with the heart at the end, looking all innocent. Are these monsters or are they cats? Hmm. I'm not quite sure, but I love them! This stamp is called 4024.Q Line Up. I colored it in bold and bright with my Copics, then embellished with some fabby Trendy Tape and those cute little flag pins from Maya Road. The message is Stampotique, too - 5255 Happy Birthday! And I thought a bit of Star Dust Stickles on their bellies were just what they needed!

Now keep on hopping and see some more fun and funky new images from Kira Nichols for Stampotique. Next stop on the hop is Jenn Cochran! I can't wait to see what she's sharing! Then tomorrow, head back to the Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog again - there will be another hop, featuring another fabulous artist. Who will it be?? And I'll be back on Wednesday sharing more new stamps, when everything is fully revealed. Ooooh I cannot wait!!
