Why I haven't been posting any new cards...

This is my stamp room. I literally cannot walk from the door to my desk. It is AWFUL! I really don't know how I let it get this out of control. Other than a few things I've *had* to do recently (swap commits, etc) I haven't been stamping anything, because I literally CANNOT! It's so overwhelming and depressing!! But... today I am trying my best to bring some order back into my life. After I get done posting this, I am on a mission to clean this disaster area. I have to - I have hostess club Thursday night (hi girls!) and I can't prepare for it! Plus I have some other stamping commitments, and I'd like to do some swaps to send with a friend & fellow demonstrator who's going to convention. And most important and exciting - in a couple weekends I'm going on a scrapbook retreat with some girlfriends - my first time ever away from Carter for the night, so it's a big deal for me - and right now I can't even prepare what I want to take to work on! *sigh* When will I ever learn to put things away once I finish using them??? Ok, anyway, enough of my whining and complaining about myself, off to clean I go! Wish me luck! And if you don't hear from me soon, send in a search party, I may have gotten lost in all the chaos! :-)

  1. Oh Libby....I am with you on this subject...I have the exact same problem....but I'm mine is so bad, I'm no way going to post pictures of it....I've taken things from my craft room to my dining room table so that I can stamp...and now...you guessed it...the whole dining room is flooded!!!!! with stamping stuff....not water....thank goodness! Wish we could get together and help one another with our rooms...it's always better when you have a friend lend a helping hand. Hugs, Barb g

  4. Ok, right now I'me laughing! Just 2 days ago it looked like a bomb went off in my stamp area. Then I begged my husband to put up a shelf. Now he hates this shelf and thinks its an eye sore but I begged and he obliged. I spent all last night organizing with all the extra space I had, and voila the shelf is full, My floor and desk is empty and Once again if I get one more thing I am in trouble! So I do sympathize with you but I also laugh, it looks like a hurricane went through yours! So the sun eventualy comes out no matter how bad the mess and I wish you the best in finding your desk ROFLOL!:) I promise I'me laughing with you not at you (favorite saying at our house).

  5. I'm sure it will be so worth the time you spend getting your area back to the way you like. I wish you much luck, and hope you find some goodies you forgot you had while in the process. ;)

  6. Oh, I'm totally with you on the chaos. I'm having an open house on Thurs. and does my stamp room look, um, like a room? NO. I guess I have to clean it, huh? How exciting about the scrapbook retreat...that's a little incentive to organize! Have fun!

  7. Oh, I feel your pain! I get to this point, clean up, and swear I'm never going to let it get messy again. Last time I let it get to the National State of Emergency phase I literally sat down in the doorway and cried. Hubby had to sit with me and cheer me on as I cleaned! Hope your cleaning session was super productive!

  12. Boy can I relate, My daughter and her three kids are all sleeping and living out of my stamping room. I got new stamps and paper but, I can't find them I think there is a suit case sitting on top of them! Oh well I can stamp later when I am missing them because they are 3000 miles away!

  13. Oh, my, Libby! I feel better now. I'm a little frustrated because my box of catalogs is still sitting on my stamp room floor along with a separate pile of my new color papers. I finally put away all my LSS purchases from a while back. I have a new box of supplies arriving today. The general feel of my room is messy and cluttered and I don't like it! You're an inspiration to all of us and I'm glad you post these occasional pictures of your messy room. There's a trend developing as to the day you post these pictures and the time shortly thereafter that I clean my room. So--thank you! I suddenly want to clean my room!

  15. I feel your pain. I need to find the time to get my studio back in order - but it is always only temporary so why bother?!
