Stepping back a bit...

Hi all, I'm just popping in with a bit of news - I'm going to be stepping back from this blog just a bit. Not that I'm very regular with my posts anyway (!!), but there will likely be even more time in between posts for a while. I've been in the (very bad) habit of staying up into the wee hours working on cards. I'm trying to adjust my schedule, both because it makes me a crabby mommy during the day, and because I'm trying to work on being a healthy mommy and being sleep-deprived isn't exactly helping! It's a bit frustrating, because the only "me time" I get is in the evening after the kids have gone to bed, and I hate to "waste" that time by sleeping through it!! But I can't realistically keep on doing what I've been doing. I've been trying to step back for a while now, but I keep doing it - but now, I'm officially done with design team commitments (well not 100%, still owe a few things but hope to wrap it all up this weekend!) and I just need to chill for a while. I hope you won't dump me from your Readers or Feedblitz lists, and keep me around for when I do find time to make a card - but I know in this blogging world it's publish or perish! :-) So whatever... I do this for fun, and if I'm just here talking to myself on this blog, so be it. I need to put myself and my family first. Wish me luck!!

  6. Love your posts, cards, vacation pics, etc. But...your kids are only little for a short time. I think I was tired/wore out during DD's toddler years that I wasn't able to enjoy those cute moments as much. You'll stay in "Reader" so that when you do make a post, I can catch it! Have fun with the youngins'!

  9. I am will always be here waiting for whenever you get a chance to post. Just remember that kids grow up fast. My eldest just started college and I can't believe that I am old enough to have a kid in college. Good luck with these changes.

  12. I won't "forget" you...I subscribe, so I will know everytime you post!!! I know what you mean by stepping back for awhile, after SU made there big announcement to us demo's, that took the wind out my sails, so to speak! But, I think it was a much needed "step back" to look at what I was doing, I haven't posted anything all week, and I have gotten so much needed work done here! Have fun with your family, but don't forget to find "some" time for yourself!

  13. Aww, just try to get rid of me! ha! Seems to be a common thing running around the card bloggin' community right now! Great reasons (not like you need me to approve that :) for steppin' away. Hope you get rest and feel balanced soon! Thanks again for thinking of me and I can't wait to be part of the fun!

  14. I think you are doing the right thing for you! I applaud that! I personally haven't created a card all summer, been working a lot(thank goodness I work from home), and any spare time has gone to my family. You won't regret the choice to make yourself a healthier person and a if you can give yourself the opportunity to have more patience, then it's all worthwhile! I do hope to occasionaly still see some of your incredible work!

  16. I'm here whenever you are. Enjoy your children and cherish every moment...they grow too fast, I don't know where the years went. My baby is 21 and having a baby of her own. KUDOS to you for making this decision!!!

  19. Wow, do I ever understand! I also stamp mostly at the cost of sleep! Its an obsession for sure! I admire you for having stepping back when you need to. If you figure out any helpful hints on how to balance everything....do share!

  20. Oh honey, don't you worry, we'll still be here, well I guess I should speak for myself, I'll be here as will those that commented before and after me. I totally understand, my only me time is after my Soaps gets to bed at 8 pm and I get up at 5 am, usually about an hour to get everything me related done (card making, blogging, relaxing, one on one time with hubby). I hear you sister, so I ain't offended none! :)

  21. Libby I hope you're doing OK and I'm here...even if I'm not commenting, I'm here girl!! :)

  22. Go for it! I make a slew on the weekends and post 'em through the week. Only do it if it's fun and not another checkbox you have to cross off. I got there twice so far. I take a break and then I come back like a hellcat! Luvs!

  23. Well, you know I sure do understand! When I quit doing the late night thing it really cut into my stamping and blogging time. Now I've got a puppy and, well, you know... I can't see pushing him away just because I'm trying to stamp or write a blog post. A person has to get their priorities straight, no matter the consequences. I never forget you, even though my visits are sparse. By the way, I think you're doing a good job of hanging in there.
