Texas Tuesday - Bluebonnet Time!!

It's getting to be the time of year when I especially miss Texas. When all the bluebonnets begin making their appearance. Oh how I miss the fields of blue! So today I'm playing with one of my Texana Designs bluebonnets - if I can't be in Texas looking at the real thing, I'll bring them into my stamp room!

I stamped the Jam'n Bluebonnet on watercolor paper, and used Distress ink and my water brush to watercolor the flower. I have the framed version of this stamp and just cut it out, but there's an unframed version available as well, here. The background was created using more Distress inks and the Texas Bluebonnets Background stamp, finished off with a little Glimmer Mist. You'll have to trust me on the glimmer, it doesn't show in the photo. ;-) The fabby sequins are from Neat & Tangled.

I scribbled the little black "frame" around the background panel to play along with the latest Catered Crop Recipe Swap! There's still time to create your own card with a frame and join us!

Thanks for stopping by,
