Tour de Craft Guest Designer - Els Brige!

Bonjour, doeiendag and good morning! Today is a very exciting day in the Tour de France. COBBLES!! Cobblestones in the rain! Oh my, it's going to be intense. Here's hoping all of the boys stay upright. Today is also a very exciting day for the Tour de Craft here on my blog - I am welcoming my first guest designer! And she knows a thing or two about the region the race is passing through today. Take it away, Els!

Hello Tour fans! My name is Els Brigé and I live in Belgium. Yes, that beautiful Belgium that the Tour de France is crossing today – yeay!! I’m so curious for the race today, can’t wait to see how the riders are digesting the many cobblestones Flanders has in store for them. I’m so honored to be here on Libby’s blog on this fun day. Thank you very much, Libby, for having me. It’s an honor.

I made a card to celebrate this day. I started with a long narrow white card, and added some color to it with watered down spray ink. All stamps are from Pinkfresh Studio’s latest sets, and are stamped with black StazOn ink to avoid any bleeding.

It’s a very simple straightforward card, but the pop of color adds that little something extra. I just had to turn to blue and red today, along with the white, to accentuate the French touch to this all.

I’m looking forward to every new day of the Tour, and to all the other amazing Tour themed projects we’ll be seeing here in the next few weeks.  Have a great day!

Els.

Thanks so much for sharing, Els! Be sure to visit Els at her blog, Be Stamped.

See you tomorrow,

  2. Thanks, Libby, for bringing Els over from Belgium, if only for a day! The "Tour" and, therefore, the bicycles continue to pass by today. The CAS design of Els' card is refreshing, as are the flowers floating by as if to welcome the rider on her card. A beautiful watercolor background adds interest, of course, but does not distract from that focal image! Brilliant!
