Holiday Coffee Lover's Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY!

Hello and welcome to the Holiday Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!! I was so bummed when I was too late for the last event for coffee lovers, I absolutely had to join the hop today! But in my excitement to put together a coffee-themed card, I completely spaced on the holiday portion of the hop! Derrrr!! Maybe this is winter blue? I was inspired by Frozen? Yes... that's it... mmm hmmm...

I had a ton of fun playing with the Hero Arts Need Caffeine set - I love this cute little latte! You won't even guess how many THINGS I did to it, LOL! I stamped it with Peacock Feather Distress Ink. Then I used colored pencils to fill in the color a bit more. Then, my Faber-Castell PITT green gold pen to go over the letters. Then I outlined in black ink. Then I trimmed. Thhheeennnn.... the piece de resistance... I dug out my super old liquid applique to create the latte foam!! I used to LOVE this stuff. About 8 years ago. Ever wonder if it will still work after MANY MANY years sitting in a craft stash (and even moving from Texas to Georgia)? The answer is YES, IT DOES!! :-)

The background panel was super fun too. I mixed some of the same Peacock Feathers ink into my embossing paste, and spread it over the Hero Arts Zig Zag Pattern stencil. The blobs that look kind of brown in the photos are actually lovely, shimmery blobs of Gold Shimmer Spray. Nice.

Ok, so this blog hop is a different kind of blog hop! It's open to all of YOU to join!! There's a linkie thing on Amy Tsuruta's blog, she's the mastermind behind this entire thing.

And she's lined up a TON of awesome sponsors. You'll be in the running for THOSE prizes if you link up your own coffee creation! You can find the link up on Amy's blog -- RIGHT HERE! This is the list of amazing sponsors:

As for me - I'd love to giveaway a $5 STARBUCKS GIFT CARD!! Afterall, this hop is all about loving coffee, right? Just leave me a comment by the end of Sunday, December 14 and you'll be in the running.

Thanks for stopping by!
