Prayers

Today I had the opportunity to create a card using the exclusive collaboration stamp and die set by Hero Arts for Simon Says Stamps' STAMPtember®! It is called Prayers and was designed by the amazing Kelly Rasmussen!

This message set is absolutely perfect for those difficult-to-make sympathy cards. The word "prayers" also has a matching die, but I didn't use it for my card today. I wanted to pair the sentiment with a flower, so I dug into my stash of woodblocks and settled on the beautiful Puff Flower, still one of my favorites! I colored the stamp directly with my markers, huffed on it and then stamped. The subtle background (so subtle it's mostly washed out in my photos, sorry!) is another of my oldie but goodie faves, Old Letter Writing.

There's a touch of Wink of Stella in the center of the flower and also along the gray outer edges of a card - not too blingy, this is a sympathy card afterall, but just a bit of shimmer, which adds a little touch of prettiness. Trust me, it's there. :-)

Be sure to visit Simon Says Stamp and grab this exclusive set, before it's gone!

And if you like this style of stamp & die set, check out all of them in the Hero Arts store, HERE!

Thanks for stopping by,
