... I inspired MYSELF with my last post! I mentioned that I loved how AmyR's ribbon was all sorted by color - well I realized I could do THAT, even if I don't have the cool shelves that she has! So this is how I spent my morning after I posted - organizing my ribbon!! There was a little more reason to do it - in a couple weekends I'm hosting a huge stamp/scrapbook/craft supply garage sale - a bunch of friends and I are cleaning out our stamp rooms to get rid of stuff we bought and will never use, to try to make some extra cash - cash to buy MORE stamps and supplies, of course! LOL! So I set aside some ribbon I don't especially love anymore and want to get rid of, and added some spools I had in other places. Now my ribbon looks so darn pretty, I just had to share. Have a good week! :-)
Now this is my kind of organization! I love how you have your ribbon stored and sorting it by color like that makes it just sooooo pretty! Great tip!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound goofy to me! Wish I had that much ribbon to organize:)
ReplyDeleteThis ribbon storage is prettier than the one you mentioned and way more organized than mine! love it.
ReplyDeleteBoy, do I ever need to do something with my ribbon! Thanks for another great idea. Someday...
ReplyDeleteThis looks really great, Libby! Not goofy at all! I really need to come up with something for mine as well.
ReplyDeleteThis ribbon looks so good all organized on its spools. You have some really good ideas for organizing. I could use those ideas.........you have no idea what a disaster my ribbon is! It is getting so bad that I have a small box on my shelf, a drawer half full, a hanger with baggies, and yes some stacked in a corner on the floor. I have no idea why the floor, but I learned my lesson when I was vaccuming the other day and happen to pass by that ribbon on the floor. Well let me tell you what an amazing suction that vaccume has. Whoosh, in 2 seconds flat it had sucked up a couple loose ends of thick ribbon on a spool and it started to unwind and get sucked up. In a panic it never occured to me to turn off the vaccume........of course not, that would be to easy......no I started to pull back to no avail trying to save my precious ribbon. Finaly I turned of the vaccume and started to pull it back out........about 5 yards of both spools. Lesson learned...........read Libby's post about organizing ribbon. Will I ever leave ribbon on the floor again? Probably!
ReplyDeleteNot goofy at all. Love all your tips on organization.
ReplyDeleteBig Smiles!
oooooo- you just inspired me to do the same! Looks great! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust Gorgeous! Love the ribbon box too. Isn't it a pure kind of joy to have things all uber-organized?
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I am a control freak so just love organised things like this - fab!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the organization of ribbons. You are right, they are so darn pretty all together like that!! Wish I was in TX, I would come by and stock up on some stuff (not that I NEED it.......just LOVE buying it!).....Congrats. Morning well spent.
