Boy am I RUSTY!!

I debated whether I should even post this because I do not love it. It's my attempt at both CC139 - this week's color challenge to use Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi & Ruby Red, and SC149 - this week's sketch challenge on SCS. Especially after seeing some ADORABLE takes on the sketch challenge on some of the blogs I frequent (Carole, Frances, Laurie...), they've made me love this card even less. Ah well - what can I say - it was my first time actually sitting down to stamp in several weeks. Turns out I'm rusty!! I struggled until the wee hours last night trying to make this card work! Finally I just gave up (and I think a little too late - not sure the stickles on the deer were a good decision...) I know, I'm being too hard on myself. But it's just so frustrating when you sit down to use some supplies you're *so* excited about - I just bought this fabulous Basic Grey "Winterland" stamp set that I just *love*, and a Figgy mini pad of paper - I love Basic Grey stuff so much it should just magically make perfect cards when I sit down to use them!! And even more frustrating is that I wasn't starting from scratch - BOTH the sketch and the colors were already figured out, there was very little guesswork involved! *sigh* Guess this just means I need to get back in the groove and stamp regularly, and relearn how to make cute cards. :-) By the way, the sequins on the antlers are from Hero Arts - another supply I just *love*!!
