So yummy!

Tomorrow we're going to a birthday party to celebrate our friend Natalie's 5th birthday. Her mom says her favorite colors are light blue, purple & pink, so I used those as a starting point to create this card. I had to use glitter - Natalie loves princesses so she had to have a sparkley card! I had made my favorite princess card for her sister Savannah, so I couldn't use that same stamp! So instead I made her a yummy birthday cupcake with my new "Cupcake" set from Hero Arts. I have to admit - I *love* this card!!! And I'm a little sad, because it is sooooo much cuter IRL! I couldn't photograph it well with all the glitter, so I used the flash and the colors went a little funky on me. I sprinkled dazzling diamonds in the liquid applique before setting it, which you can hardly see. The card is just so yummy, I almost ate it. :-) I took it out to show the hubby, all proud of myself - I told him this might be my favorite card I've ever made. Do you know what his response was? "Really??" *sigh* Oh well, he's a boy - he prefers my beer cards. OH GEESH - I nearly forgot to mention - this layout was inspired by Colleen's fabulous sketch she had for Thursday Throwdown week before last. I loved it, and wanted to play that week, but it didn't happen. I ended up skipping one of her circles, but I just love the curvy line in the background! Thanks for the inspiration Colleen!! And thanks everyone for stopping by today. If you're curious, no, I'm still not done with Carter's thank you cards, but I did finish all the Minnie thank yous and have been hired to create another set of birthday party invitations - I'll post those soon. Take care!!!
