Here's another thing I love about
Hambo Stamps - they have a manatee stamp!! How random is that?? Actually, probably not that terribly random, considering Monica is originally from Florida! But, it's not an animal you see very often. Have you even heard of these gentle sea creatures? Did you know that although they have no natural predators they are
endangered, thanks to human beings? Well it's true. Ok I'm done with my public service announcement. On to the card! I played another
Dare to Get Dirty challenge from
Splitcoast - this time Jen's sketch challenge. I am bad with sketches like this because I rarely get things straight - so please don't look TOO closely! If you insist on looking closely, instead look at my coloring - I'm really happy with how it turned out, that blue underbelly makes me happy. :-) I liked the monochromatic theme on yesterday's card so I did it again for the most part, this time with Bashful Blue. So are you enjoying
Hambo week so far? Well... it's going to get even bigger and better as the week goes on... there may be some sort of fun giveaway involved... stay tuned....! ;-)
- Stamps: Manatee and Gray Wrinkled Thing from Hambo Stamps
- Paper: Bashful Blue, Basic Gray, Neenah Solar White, Bashful Blue Prints DP

Hahahahahaha! That sentiment is cracking me up!! Hahahahaha!
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings,

GREAT card Libby! I fall into the "gray wrinkled thing" category, so if you need someone to send this to...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you colored the manatee!
I love manatees too, Libby, and I did not know they were endangered. Your colouring is indeed fantastic on this; you have good reason to be proud.
ReplyDeletegreat coloring!! check out "I'm a Manatee" by John Lithgow for the kids(and you), great rhymes and illustrations!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card Libby!! Great coloring and I love the sentiment - hilarious. We saw some manatees at an aquarium last time we were in FL visiting my parents and my DS#1 just sat and stared at them - he was fascinated.
ReplyDeleteI had to come visit you b/c I saw the comment you left on the YKYR blog and I almost died laughing - here's why:

ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than a card that makes me laugh out loud! Great job!
ReplyDeleteOh, boy...I should have this sentiment stamp. What a great card, Libby! I do really like the blue and gray and you did a fantastic job on the coloring. The blue is perfectly blended and the rest of the shading looks wonderful, too. I love it!
