This card is a little odd - a yellow armadillo? Huh? Well - I wanted to play this week's
color challenge because the colors are really yummy, and also because one of my stamping idols,
Carole, was guest hostess! And anyway, if you read this blog you know I have a love for coloring animals in odd colors. I'm thinking it may have been more fun if I had made him a guava armadillo rather than a banana armadillo, but oh well (I may try coloring over him in guava tomorrow, if it turns out decent maybe I'll show you. If it looks awful I'll pretend it never happened...). The sketch is Julee's latest Mojo Monday challenge (
MOJO45) - more or less. The cute little armadillo and funny saying are from
Hambo Stamps. Speaking of Hambo Stamps - if I can find more stamp room time this week, I really need to try this week's SCS
technique challenge, to make a suspension card. I keep seeing them on other blogs and they look like so much fun - and I'm thinking some of these Hambo sentiments (especially
Fractured Funnies) would be so great on a spinner! If that happens I'll let you know... :-) Ok I need to hit the hay, there's a fun day in store for us tomorrow. I've mentioned my mom has been visiting for more weeks than I can remember.... tomorrow my dad arrives for ~10 days. Carter is so excited to see his Papa!! And he also heard a rumor that Papa is bringing him some more new trains... actually I think he may be slightly more excited about the possibility of finally getting James and Molly than he is about seeing Papa...! My silly little Thomas fanatic. Thanks for stopping by - not sure if I'll have time to post tomorrow but I'll definitely have a Courtney's Closet card on Thursday, it's already made!! (very unlike Queen of the Procrastinators to be this much on the ball!!) Bye. :-)

ReplyDeleteI like the banana armadillo! He's very cute!
ReplyDeleteHa! If you look closely at the armadillo, you can tell by the flush in his cheeks that he's slightly embarrassed by his jaundice. Nonetheless, fun card Libby! Very creative. :)

ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha! Too funny! Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteM.

ReplyDeleteGreat job with those colors. And I'm with you, let your imagination fly. Let us know how the guave armadillo goes.
ReplyDeleteI like the armadillo yellow--it's a nice contrast with the other colors. Really a cute card with the emgbossed background and scallops. I totally love the sentiment, too!
