Pay It Forward RAK

I made this card for Karen's Random Act of Kindness Challenge. Each week Karen encourages us to make and send a RAK, and also picks a "rule" to inspire us - this week her rule was... ready for this... POLKA DOTS!!! It was tough, but I played along anyway... LOL! Of course if you visit here regularly, you know the real challenge for me is to NOT use polka dots on a card! My main card is to the left. But this week I decided to add a little twist to Karen's challenge. I mentioned this last week - Karen is a stamper with a big heart. She encourages us to make RAKs, and also sends many herself, including cards to Send Love Today. When explaining her challenge on her blog, she says "kindness is contagious" and calls it a kind of Pay It Forward challenge. Well this gave me an idea! I decided it made perfect sense to make this week's RAK to send to Karen herself, but keep it blank so she can pay it forward to someone else (if she chooses to!!) since that is what she loves to do. And guess what - I had the PERFECT stamp to help me with this!! Hambo Stamps has the sweetest "Pay it Forward" stamp - if you can't read it on the photo, the stamp says:
Though free of words, this card is full of thoughts of love and cheer - Made both for you and someone else that you consider dear. So if you have a hankerin' to brighten someone's day, Just add your message & a stamp, and send it on its way!
The idea is that the stamp can fit right on a post-it note, which you could stick inside your card. But I decided to give it it's own little card to match the main card. I will write a note to Karen in the polka dotted space under the sentiment. Karen, I'm sorry this won't be a surprise to you when you get it in the mail! :-) I'm posting my card just under the wire for Karen's challenge this week, they are due by Sunday morning! But if you want to play, of course you still can, sending polka dotted RAKs is ALWAYS a good thing! But you can also check her blog again on Tuesday for her latest rule.
By the way, the super cute ice cream cone that I used on the main card is included in the Buy One, Get One sale at Hambo right now! If you buy it, you get a sweet little ice cream truck to go with it!! Fun stuff! Thanks for stopping by today!!
