While it may seem I haven't been doing much stamping this week, I've actually done a ton! This weekend is the District 10 Conference for Zonta, a service organization which I belong to. Each club can have a table in the "Zonta Store" at the conference, so I decided to populate our table with a bunch of hand-stamped goodies. A friend and fellow Zontian was able to make a couple Zonta logo stamps for me to use - so cool!! They own an etching/engraving machine for their business, and it turns out it can etch rubber, too! So, I put it to good use, creating 6 sets of coasters, 12 nugget tins, 10 stamped scarves and 16 cards. Hopefully this will raise some good money for our little Austin chapter! I'm not attending the conference this year - Courtney doesn't let me get away from her for long enough. Hopefully next year! By the way, my friends with the internet business engrave steins, pub glasses, dominoes, washers and pewter. Lots of great ideas for the hard-to-buy-for guys on your holiday gift lists! :-) Have a great weekend!
ETA: My kids are driving me crazy today (what's new?) and I had a lot of trouble concentrating on this post - I completely meant to say that MY SISTER AND I created all this stuff - but my brain did not cooperate. Sorry for the omission, Laura!! I so appreciated your help!!

I've been sick for the past few weeks. I got all the shots I could knowing
being around little kids catching a cold was going to happen.

Wow, this looks like a lot of work Libby, but it turned out great! I'm glad you were able to have the stamp made that you needed. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! You have a Zonta stamp--that's pretty cool! You did a good job filling this box with some really great items. Good luck with the sale!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects! Neat idea to make your own stamp.
ReplyDeleteNo problem with the omission. I understand you were probably exhausted!
