Happy Easter!

If you celebrate Easter, I hope you are having a wonderful celebration. If you don't, I hope you are just having a fabulous Sunday! Today I thought I'd show you a couple cards I made with the Easter Blessings set from FireCracker Designs by Pamela. I think it's a really beautiful, elegant Easter set. For my first card, the colors are a little out there I think, but I was playing along with Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #3 (yes, late as always!). The sketch is Beate's latest Weekend Sketch Challenge, this time hosted by Laurie. I like this sketch a lot, I need to put it in the reserve for future use! The cross is paper pieced with Kraft and Real Red cardstock, and sponged. I'm not sure the Swiss Dots really go with this card, but what can I say - I just can't help myself sometimes! I did a bunch of sponging on this card with Chocolate Chip ink - I've been on quite a sponging kick lately!

The second card uses Jen's latest Sketch For You To Try. I cut out each of the doves, and popped them up with foam tape. You cannot tell in the photo, but each one is colored with a Sakura Stardust pen for yummy sparkle. No color challenge on this card. :-)
