Hello and welcome to another FireCracker Designs by Pamela blog hop! This month we thought it would make good sense if our cards and projects had a THANK YOU theme, considering Thanksgiving is right around the corner! And for my card, I decided to use my favorite FCD set, one that I'm so THANKFUL that Pamela designed - Theater Lights! Oh how I love this set. *sigh* And the sentiment I used is one that I actually suggested to Pamela - "Thanks for propping me up." heh heh You see, I used to volunteer backstage with my hometown community theater group, and would often be propmistress - so - I just loved this saying to be part of a theater set. :-D The panel of roses on the card is stamped and colored, and for the theater masks, I did something I've been meaning to try for ages - I stamped it on some text in a magazine! My friend (and former FCD guest designer) Lydia introduced me to this, she is a master at reanimating things in her crafts! The color combo - chocolate, olive, cream & dark red - came from this week's Color Throwdown Challenge - one of my favorite blog challenges!
Now that the card deets are out of the way, let me tell you a little more about this month's blog hop. Pamela has very generously given the ENTIRE team blog candy to hand out!!! I get to giveaway a set that is SO PERFECT for this time of year, Clearly Calendar!I bet you could make some adorable 2010 calendar gifts with this set! So leave me a comment and I'll pick one winner after the hop ends on Monday night.
And if you've hopped with us before, you know the drill - this is a circular hop, so wherever you begin is where you'll return when you finish! So hop around the full circle and leave comments as you go, there's lots of yummy stampy goodness up for grabs. From here, go see what the boss-lady herself is up to atPamela's Blog!!!
And thanks for stopping by today!
Stamps: Theater Lights from FireCracker Designs by Pamela
Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, PTI DP & cardstock
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black StazOn, Encore Gold, Copic markers
Accessories: SU punch, magazine page, Swiss Dots folder, gold EP, May Arts ribbon
Hi Libby! Karyn says, "Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!" :o) LOVE your card! How long did it take you to color all of those roses? he he! The masks look amazing stamped on magazine text!! What a clever idea!
This is one fabulous and inspiring card. I just love this fun stamp set you used. I just love the technique on stamping on the magazine. I'm going to have to try this one. Thanks for a chance. stampincmeyers at yahoo dot com
Hi Libby!! I love your card...this is a really cool set and I'm so happy to have it!! :) And I also wanted to say that your snow globe tut on SCS is awesome!! I had so much fun!! (P.S. don't put me to enter...I already have the set you're giving away!! LOL!!)
I have been noticing a lot of people are stamping on newsprinting or magazine print etc. I really like how it looks. I have not done that but I am going to give it a try. It is funny but I often see others do a certain technique and I love it but when I do it I don't like it. Guess that is the nature of the beast, huh? tonilea jiffy1212@aol.com
My sister & her friends all work for the theatre, so I'm glad to see something I can finally make for her! This calender set will be real useful...especially with so many years! grandma_lee_t AT yahoo DOT com
Hi, Your color and design shine through on your cards. Enjoyed visiting your blog. Thanks for the chance to win the blog candy. My e-mail address is stev4516@bellsouth.net
Hi Libby, Love your card! Gorgeous colour combo - so bright and cheerful. Karyn said to say "Gobble, gobble, gobble" from her Blog which I just came from. Thanks for being able to take part in the Blog Hop and for the Blog Candy opportunity - it's been lots of fun :-) bjwelmo43 AT bigpond DOT com
Libby - Gobble, Gobble, Gobble (from Karyn) :) Theater masks.... oh the cards I could make for my niece!!! Great idea with the words on the mask! Thanks for the inspiration. p.kasallis@gmail.com
Quite a lot of fun you have kicking up around here! Wahooo! Loved your use of the CTD colors for this week! Those masks are FANTASTIC! Loved your enthusiastic post! Yipeee!
Such a fun trip around the circle today. Lots of neat ideas and great to stop and think about those and what I am "thankful" for. Thank you for sharing. Shirley
That was a great design. Thank you for the chance to win the calendar stamps. I could make a few gifts from that stamp set. Thanks again. God Bless, JoAnn
Fabulous card, Libby! LOVE that yummy rick rack, and that sentiment is so cute! Thanks for playing the Throwdown (but please don't bother entering me for the prize... just wanted to comment on your card!) :)
Thanks for all you do. Love your cards. Hope I can have a chance at this stamp set, as I would like to make some calendars for some of my friends at work.

ReplyDeleteI have been noticing a lot of people are stamping on newsprinting or magazine print etc. I really like how it looks. I have not done that but I am going to give it a try. It is funny but I often see others do a certain technique and I love it but when I do it I don't like it. Guess that is the nature of the beast, huh?
