Here's another flower I shared at my card class this past weekend. This is one of those fabby flowers made with a scallop circle punch - I learned about them in Dawn McVey's video tutorial, HERE. Dawn used vintage book print, which I LOVE - but I didn't have a vintage book on hand, so I just used a definition stamp, and stamped it on copy paper. You really need a lightweight paper for these flowers - cardstock would be too stiff. I was inspired by this wonderful card by ctprezzia in the Hero Arts Flickr pool for the card design. And for those of you I've been friends with on Facebook & Twitter, just wanted to let you know I'm taking a bit of a social media break. I'll probably be back eventually - but just an fyi if you wondered where I went. :-)
Thanks for stopping by today!

This is so cute Libby! I love that flower and am going to have to check out her tutorial. I did wonder where you went on fb - thought maybe you "unfriended" me - is that a word - when I didn't see any updates from you. We all need to take a break now and then - good for you! I opted out of all the games, but I still like to keep track of my family in far away places (and close to home too) so I pop in every day just to see what they are all up to. ~chris
ReplyDeleteI really like this, Libby! I'm working on lots of March birthday cards right now, and I may case this one! Love the way you used a ribbon for it's leaves!
ReplyDeleteOh Libby, it's beautiful! Love how you used the flower - I've seen so many examples, I just may not be able to resist after this. ;)

Beautifully done!! Wow, that paper piercing looks great around the edge as well! Take care and relax, I totally understand the need to ease off from it all...it's important to have that 'off' time and just take care of yourself.
