Thinking of You

I made today's card for a fellow stamper I've been thinking about a lot lately. I hope it helps brighten her day just a little.


I played along with the latest Mojo Monday challenge for sketch inspiration.

And since I was playing Mojo Monday, I busted out a bunch of Verve goodness from a recent little (massive!) shopping spree. I used Distress ink for the flower and sponged the edges, which gave Julee's beautiful crisp design a more rugged look. I hope she doesn't mind. :-)

  • Stamps: Bountiful Backgrounds, Great Friend and Circular Sayings from Verve Stamps
  • Paper: SU Sahara Sand & Lavender Lace, Jenni Bowlin DP (blue polkadot), GP white
  • Ink: Vintage Photo & Broken China Distress inks
  • Accessories: EK Success punch, SU scallop edge punch, Marvy circle punch, machine stitching, pearls (Joy Crafts), Glossy Accents (around the pearls to keep them in place going thru the mail)

    Thanks Dana! The flower is just this: http://shopverve.com/vsa-10-018.html I stamped it 3 times and cut out the layers, then put them together with dimensionals. I inked up the edges, etc. The pearls are in the middle and then I put a little Glossy Accents around them to hold them in place better when I mail it.

    I really like your card!! I had to laugh when I read about your "massive" Verve shopping spree! LOL! I have to admit to doing the same thing. I bought several sets including the set you used here before Christmas and then saw they were having yet another sale at the end of the year and I really went wild that time. Now I have to get busy and make cards... a whole lot of cards to justify my shopping! LOL!
