A Tour of my Stamp Room...

It's January 12 (almost 13th!) and I still haven't stamped a single thing this year. So sad!! The main reason is that my desk in inaccessible! It's such a mess. I'm in the process of cleaning it TONIGHT - but in the mean time I took a little "before" video, to show you what I'm dealing with. And hey, what the heck - most people show off their stamp rooms when they are neat and clean and perfect. I believe in keeping it real... ;-) I may do another tour once it's clean, if anyone is interested - I could share more detail about some of my storage ideas. Yes??

I do need to apologize about the quality of this - I just filmed it with my phone, I didn't edit it and I made it at 10 o'clock at night so the lighting is not so super. Guess I won't be getting an Academy Award for this one...

Until next time...

  1. Hey Libby, loved the video! You have a wonderful space and lots of great storage! I love the U shape of your desk area, I'd like to be able to do that some day. It must be the organization time, of course with the New Year. My studio was featured on a blog series this week by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. It completes tomorrow and there have been a lot of great ideas. I love your curtain rod clip it up, that is a great idea. Here is the link to my blog if you'd like to see my studio in pictures.

  2. I just share your link with a Yahoo group I belong to that is all about scrapbook rooms. It's been a very active group in the past but a little slow since the holidays. There are a lot of great albums that share some good ideas if you are interested. Here's the link:

  3. Hey Libs...I have been cleaning and reorganizing my scrap room as well and my Sweetie came into the room this weekend and said to me "I thought you said you cleaned all week in here" Well I NEVER...Yes he is still alive LOL! Really it is the storm before the calm. I can relate!

  4. You know, this doesn't look bad at all, to me, Libby. Funny thing - I took a few 'before' pictures the other day, too. Still haven't made an inch of progress... Maybe you've motivated me? Good to hear your voice, and I hope you like GA. I'm still sad that you're farther away, even though I never got a chance to visit you in TX. (I will never forgive Nick Rhodes.)

  5. I like! This is a "real" stamp room! My craft room is very similar--things all jumbled up together because I am using them! I'm sure you will get it how you like it, but I don't think a "neat" room is conducive to creativity! I hope you enjoy your new life in Georgia.

  6. Wow Libby, your craft room is huge and I love the way you have the kids playroom right beside you - it probably won't be too long before they play away there as you stamp. It looks like you have lots of brilliant storage solutions (which I should copy!) and I have to admit my place is like yours, I seem to always work away till the last minute I have and the stuff just doesn't get put away every time - that just shows we're having lots of fun stamping, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

My dies are in a box but I love the way you have yours on the wall so you can see them all - are they on magnetic sheets or something? Thanks for the tour and for all the great ideas:)

  7. LOVE your stampy space!!!!! OMG, so organized! I am, too. We can be organized even when nothing has been put away, right? RIGHT?!?! Two ENTIRELY different things!

I would feel right at home in your "before" craft room. :)
