Texas Tuesday - Texas Rangers?

My blog post title is a little corny but it's what popped in my head just now - playing with my fabby Texana Designs stamps for Texas Tuesday, and getting inky with some of my Ranger ink stash!

I've been having so much fun creating tags with the techniques I learned in the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 class! For this one I pulled out several shades of blue Distress ink to go with my Texana Bluebonnet Wreath! After stamping the image, I went back in with Distress markers and added a little color to the wreath. It's always so hard to convey in a photo, but the tag is completely shimmery thanks to misted Perfect Pearls!

Oh how I love playing with these Distress goodies. I am seriously hooked. Which is a good thing since I've seriously BOUGHT nearly everything Mr. Holtz enabled me to buy in his fun little class...! (Me: "The class only costs $35!" Yeah right, famous last words!)

So I will end with a little ode to Texas. To Ranger. To the Texas Rangers... ;-)

Thanks for stopping by,

  • Stamps: Jam'n Bluebonnet Wreath, Texas Bluebonnets words from Texana Designs
  • Paper: Manila Tag
  • Ink: Distress Inks (Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Stormy Sky, Evergreen Bough, Wild Honey, Vintage Photo), Distress Markers (Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Spun Sugar, Black Soot, Picket Fence), Archival Ink (Jet Black)
  • Other: Perfect Pearls (added to water in Mini Mister), various ribbons
