Today I'm sharing a really simple and bike-y card I made for a few different challenges. (And you know how much bike-y makes me happ-y!) :-)
Those fun polka dot stripes at the top are washi tape. Have you fallen in love with washi tape yet? It's all the rage these days. And the current Catered Crop Recipe Swap challenges you to bust out your washi and use it! As always, Linda created a gorgeous Pinterest board featuring a plethora of washi ideas. Why don't you join us this week? You have until Saturday, August 4 to link up here. Up for grabs is a $25 gift certificate to the wonderful Chickydoodle Etsy shop, full of gorgeous tapes and other fun goodies!
I was also inspired by a challenge that's close to my heart - The Play Date Cafe color challenge! This guided me when choosing my washi colors! :-)
And finally, although the challenge is officially closed, I played along with A Blog Named Hero, being inspired by a Hero artist. My friend Lisa is always such an inspiration! But this card was specifically inspired by her because she is The Queen of Washi Tape - she is the one who first introduced me to it on one of our shopping trips back in Austin (man I miss hanging out with Lisa!!) and if you look at Linda's Pinterest board I mentioned above, several of the featured cards were created by none other than Lisa, LOL! She is also just as bike-crazed as I am, so of course I had to pair the Hero Arts Road Bike with my washi to make a very Lisa card. (Of course if she combined washi and a bicycle on a card it would look much more hip, trendy and perfect, but I tried...)
Thanks for stopping by today!
