Texas Tuesday - Keep Austin Weird!

Have I mentioned how much I've LOVED diving into the mixed media world a bit? I still have a ton to learn, but I'm playing and learning and having fun! Here's my craziest creation so far - a funky & bright NEON creation!

The skull image is called Lefty from Texana Designs, and the Square Frame and Truly Texas sentiment are Texana too. I picked up some cheap neon acrylic paints at Michael's to play with, and it's all on a thin Artist's Loft canvas. The entire thing is covered with Mod Podge. The metal dot flourish has been in my stash for ages, so glad to finally use it!

I was debating what message to add to this bizarre little canvas and mentioned it on Facebook - Shannan had the perfectly genius idea to add "Keep Austin Weird". It's the motto of my former home and oh so fitting here! Thanks Shannan!
