Today I'm sharing some sweet little tags I made using a Lori Whitlock penguin image which I die cut on my Silhoutte!
These are for my daughter's classroom party at preschool and will go on the little goodie bags. I made one for each child, stamping their names using my old trusty Karen Foster Snap Stamps. Assembling all of the penguin parts took longer than I realized it would, but they are so cute it was worth it! :-) He's standing on a bit of washi, and twine finished it off.
It was the first time I used my Silhouette in a while, and here's a true story... I pulled it out of storage. Plugged it in. Tried to turn it on. Nothing. I kept hitting the button over and over, like it would somehow change the outcome. I checked all of the cords and hit the button again. I almost cried, thinking my Silhouette died from lack of love. Then I realized I was hitting the "enter" button, not "power". Confirmed - I am brilliant.
My tags also play along with Linda's Catered Crop Recipe Swap. She has us making... you guessed it... tags! You have until 8pm on Saturday, December 22 to play along! I didn't make my project in time to join the Quickfire, but check out the gorgeous creations of my teammates HERE.
I was on a blogging roll with the 12 Days of Holiday Projects that my friend Donna invited me to join, but then I dropped off with three projects left to go. Sorry, ladies! Our house became a biohazard, with my daughter first getting a miserable ear infection (her eardrum even burst this time, poor baby!) and then my son came down with the flu. The flu is long & drawn out this year, he seems to be on the mend but it's his 4th day of missed school today, and 6th with the flu. And yes, he had the vaccine! Boo!
So - be sure to visit those ladies again because they were creating amazing holiday projects (scroll down to the next post for the link list)! And Donna set up a Pinterest board for them as well, which you can find HERE.
Thanks for stopping by,
Merry Christmas

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...those are sooooo cute!!! Penguins are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI totally would have done the same thing with the Silhouette, BTW. That's classic me. :)
Adorbs!! Such a cute penguin! I've had "hitting the wrong button panic moments followed by a face palm" several times. *eyeroll*
ReplyDeleteSorry your kiddos have been sick :( it seems everyone is fighting something right now.
VERY cute tag Libby. So sorry to hear your little ones have not been well - nothing worse than sick kiddos. :-(
ReplyDeleteBlessings
