I cut this Hero Arts fleur-de-lis shape on my Silhouette - I just resized it a bit to make it longer & skinnier. Then I coated it up with tons of Martha Stewart Onyx glitter and added sequins and gems to make it fabulously blingie!
It's Freebie Friday, so I have another stamp set to giveaway! The Tour de France will reach Paris on Sunday, so how about some Parisian goodness! I have the Paris set from Hero Arts - just leave me a comment and it could be yours!
It just occurred to me that I completely failed to pick my winner from last Friday's post! Oops! So I'll post both winners on Monday.
I also made today's card in honor of Christophe Riblon, who won yesterday's Stage 18 of the Tour de France. It was an amazing day, with two separate ascents of a classic TDF climb, Alpe d'Huez. I loved his post-race interview, when they asked him what it is like to win, as a Frenchman, atop Alpe d'Huez in the 100th Tour de France. He said "eet ees... mageeekulll" in his wonderful French accent. Je t'adore!
See you tomorrow,
Stamps: Message from Who's That Parisian Girl from MFT
Paper: MFT (Blu Raspberry), Neenah (Solar White), black cardstock
Ink: Ranger Archival black
Other: Hero Arts Silhouette shape, Simon Says Stamp die, Cuttlebug embossing folder, sequins, gems
your post gave me the giggles! I can hear the accent coming through loud and clear! :)
ReplyDeletethis is a gorgeous card! and what a pretty stamp set, too. haven't seen that one before. after all of my years taking french classes, then my sons taking french classes, I am such a sucker for anything with a french flair. it's also my heritage, so that probably has something to do with it. ;)
enjoy your weekend and stay cool!
Just like you I love everything French too but your passion for it cracks me up. Your card is so beautifully crafted, stunning fleur de lis!!! Have a lovely weekend!!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to decide which I like more....the fleur or all the onyx glitter ......or those sequins! Love love love !!!
ReplyDeleteJ'adore this card! Ack! love everything about it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Libby - the bling and glitter is fabulous :-)
ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile when you 'wrote' the accent.
Our N.Z. rider crashed face first onto barbed wire yesterday morning:-(. Thankfully there were no fractures, but I still flinch when I think of it.
Blessings
