Painted Trees

This was a card that was incredibly difficult to make, difficult to send and frankly difficult to blog. Do you blog sympathy cards you send? Something feels wrong about it. But I also love how it turned out, so... here it is on my blog.

I used Three Winter Trees from Hero Arts, stamped in Archival ink on Sticky Back Canvas. Then I added color using my old watercolor crayons - still love those things after all these years.

I was inspired by the tree on this website. And that's really all I can say about that.

Take care,

  7. I am glad that you shared this beautiful sympathy card, Libby. There are times when we need to make and send them, and making, sending, and even sharing them is part of *our* healing process--or I have found it so--as well as a communication to the grieving family. This is a keepsake and conveys an understanding of loss in the artwork you have chosen. It is beautiful.
