April My Monthly Hero - blog hop + giveaway!

Hello and welcome to the April My Monthly Hero release blog hop!! You should have made your way here by way of the sweet, lovely and immensely talented Kathy Racoosin's blog! If you didn't, head back over to the Hero Arts blog to start at the very beginning.

I absolutely LOVE that this month's kit comes with a dot card of Daniel Smith watercolors. Hooray for watercolors!! AND - the dot card contains really gorgeous shades of PURPLE!! Hooray for purple!!

For this card, I used one of the smaller buds in the stamp set - there are several. I seriously watercolored this in like 2 minutes. And it may be one of my favorite cards ever! Watercoloring doesn't have to be difficult. Do it loose and messy - and have fun with it! I know this is going to be shocking to some of you - but I didn't even tape down my paper before painting!! GASP! (I am way too lazy for that.)

Here's everything that comes in the kit! The dies are so cool - you can cut out the entire large rose. Or you can stamp it several times and just cut out parts of it to layer it. OR you can stamp it once and cut it with the layering die, and pop up different portions of it. How cool is that???

I'm part of a really amazing blog hop today. I was the final stop - but if you started here, by all means do yourself a favor and visit all of these amazing blogs!!
