For my card today, I used a couple of my very favorite Hero Arts stamps - Antique Rose Stem, and an oldie by goodie script lettering stamp (I don't even know what it was called, sorry!).
I stamped the flower in Intense Black ink, then colored with my Copics. I recently took a class from one of my coloring idols, Debbie Olson, all about coloring flowers, so I really took my time on this one and tried to focus on what she taught us. I am really bad about hurrying as I color - I have found since the class that if I take my time, and focus on one petal at a time, it really does make a difference! I'm certainly not perfect with my coloring, but I sure do enjoy it!
The script background was stamped right over top of the flower - I didn't mask it, but the lighter colored Soft Brown ink really just blended into my coloring. I added a few gold splatters, too. To embellish the card, I went super old school and dug into my stash - found some "photo hangers" I bought roughly 12 million years ago from Close To My Heart, and also dug out my grosgrain ribbon! I never use ribbon anymore, really, but I used to love it. I think I need it back in my life. And I love adding a bit of burlap with flowers!
