November 2021 Hero Arts Release + Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome! Today is release day at Hero Arts, and the November My Monthly Hero kit is so adorable, and so much fun! For today's project with the kit, I decided to bust out my felt stash and try making an ornament.

First I die cut all of the various pieces. For things like the white on the hat, and Santa's pink nose, I die cut and trimmed - those elements are only attached at a couple places, and very easy to trim and piece together. I also die cut some ovals from the Hero Arts Nesting Oval Infinity Dies.

I glued all of the pieces onto the front oval using Hero Arts Precision Glue. Then I used the baker's twine in the kit to do a blanket stitch along the edge. I'm no seamstress, but it's a VERY easy stitch - I just googled a reference video to remind myself how to do it. I realized as I was pretty far along that I didn't have any stuffing material - oops! So this one is stuffed with Kleenex - I may need to go get some poly-fill to make more!

Here's the finished ornament - this would be a fun project to do with kids or grandkids, too!

Check out what the rest of the Hero Arts team created this month! Leave as many comments as you can along the hop, Hero Arts is giving away the entire November add-on release to one lucky reader! Next stop on the hop is Jessica, but here's the entire list in case you need it!

Thanks for stopping by,
