Catered Crop Recipe Challenge FTR6

I decided to have tea with Sprinkle, the swanky kitty from The Cat's Pajamas, for the latest Follow the Recipe challenge. Afterall, the inspiration card has a food theme - tea is food? Right? Sorta? Work with me here, people!

Doesn't Sprinkle look all sophisticated, sitting there with her tea? She even put on her best pearls and shiny-bow hat for the occasion...

But my favorite part? What's going through her little feline brain as she's serving her tea...!! HA!

This Coffee, Tea or Meow set from The Cat's Pajamas is so cute. It sorta reminds me of Courtney playing dress-up, since she's very much into tea parties these days. Although I'm HOPING those aren't the thoughts she's having during them. Hee hee! And I just love kitties. Did you know that about me? I'm totally a cat person. I hope that doesn't make you unfollow me. ;-)

As I mentioned up at the top, I made this card to play along with the latest Follow the Recipe challenge over at Linda's Catered Crop blog.

The inspiration card - last week's winner - was A-dorable!! The bits of her recipe I followed were the food theme (*ahem* remember, tea = food!), going crazy with patterned papers, pearls, rickrack, Glossy Accents and a border punch. See, wasn't that easy? Linda's challenge is so much fun - I really hope you'll join us this week!

I was also inspired by the colors of the latest TCP Tuesday challenge - pink, chocolate brown and teal.

I was told in no uncertain terms by a Sprinkle expert that lime green was the CORRECT color for Sprinkle's eyes, so I made sure to follow that rule!! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by,

  • Paper: SU Pink Pirouette, Jillibean Soup DP (brown), Echo Park DP (teal), GP white

Ballerina Bunnies!

So as you know, my little bug loves all things ballet - especially tutus. I've mentioned it once or twice on here. ;-) Well another thing she loves are bunnies! Her constant companion is her ratty old stuffed bunny that I bought for about $2 at IKEA when she was a baby. Bunny is sometimes just called Bunny, sometimes he's Honey Bunny, sometimes he's Silver, for a while he was Silverware Bunny. And sometimes he's a she. All this to say - Courtney adores him/her/it. So one day a while back, I went blog surfing and found this adorable ballerina bunny set from The Cat's Pajamas!! I love it tutu much!!! I pretty much bought it immediately. It's part of my ever-growing collection of ballerina stamps that I need to USE. So last night I finally inked up the bunnies! Woohoo!

I wasn't really feeling the mojo last night, but at least the act of playing with the bunnies made me smile. It's a quick and simple card - the thing that took the longest was cutting out the little bunnies. I popped them up on some foam tape and added a touch of Stickles sparkle to the tutus.

I played along with the Card Patterns anniversary sketch #103 for the layout of the card. They've got a whole lot of hopping and prizes going on over there this week to celebrate two years of blogging, check it out! There's even some brand spankin' new Hero Arts goodness up for grabs!
