Ok let's try this again...

Because I *know* you were all completely DEVASTATED by my broken promise of a Wildflower Week, I decided to give it another go. I'm not promising a whole WEEK of wildflower cards, but here's at least one post, and I do hope to do a couple more between now and Thursday, if the stamping gods, or more likely, the wild munchkins, allow!! :-) Today's card is only slightly a "wildflower" card, but it does have my Texas theme I've been going for! This SUPER DUPER CUTE stamp is from my favorite local company, Texana Designs! The owner, Jimmye Sue, is such a nice lady (and with a name like Jimmye Sue, you KNOW she's a true Texan!!). She actually sent me this stamp as a freebie (YAY!) after I posted a couple other cards using her stamps. How sweet is that?? I love this little ranch scene. The stamp doesn't actually have any bluebonnets, but I decided my longhorn needed to be hanging out in a field of them, so I just dotted them in with my Copic. Of course I had to color my longhorn burnt orange!! This sketch was actually the Mojo Monday challenge from a week ago - as usual, I didn't meet the deadline to get it posted!! The vertical panel behind the oval is stamped with "Howdy Y'all!" repeatedly (another Texana stamp), it's hard to see in the photo. I then inked it up a bit and ran it through that cool paisley Cuttlebug folder. I don't know if you can tell in the photo, but the stitching on that panel is different from the other panels, which all have a small zigzag. I didn't do ANYTHING to my machine, but it suddenly started stitching the zigzag UPSIDE DOWN!?!? If you turn this panel over, you see the zigzag. I am THAT talented of a paper seamstress, I can sew zigzags upside down! HA! Ok, I'm actually that CLUELESS of a seamstress - I have absolutely no idea what I did to cause that to happen! LOL! Alrighty, I'm off to get a couple things done before naps end - thanks for stopping by today!
