Texas Tuesday

By the time you read this, I'll either be at the surgery center getting the carpal tunnel release on my right hand, or it will be over & done with. So if you don't mind, please send some good healing thoughts my way! The left hand was a breeze (so thankful!), but I'm right handed so the recovery time (ie the time without stamping!!) may be slightly longer this time. We shall see...

But before surgery I was determined to get a Texas Tuesday post scheduled!! I don't want to even think about how long it's been since I got my act together on a Texas Tuesday post, it's too sad.

I'm not a huge football fan. And actually, when I do cheer for a team it's my Michigan State Spartans!! But I live in Texas now, and Texans are football-crazed. And I live in Austin, where the University of Texas is located. So I took this A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E little football boy from Hambo Stamps and dressed him in a bit of burnt orange.

The Longhorn stamp in the background is from Deadbeat Designs and the sentiment is also from Hambo. I'm not sure Longhorn fans are really having a ball this fall... poor them. I think I'll tuck away this card to send to somebody next September.

Now make sure and check all of my fellow Texas Tuesday friends - I've updated the list on my sidebar. There's been a little shifting around of who's in and who's out. Hopefully we'll all get more regular about posting - if you love Texas stuff and want to join us, you're always welcome!

Thanks for stopping by,

  • Stamps: Football Boy 3702 and Have a Ball 3212 from Hambo Stamps, Longhorn F-166 from Deadbeat Designs
  • Paper: Stampin' Up black, Basic Grey DP, GP white
  • Ink: Distress Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers, white gel pen
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up punch, machine stitching, I cut the banner triangles by hand

  1. Best of luck with the procedure on your right wrist today. Here's hoping it's equally successful as the left one was. You take good care and don't even think of overdoing it.

  9. Whew! I just read your post. When I saw the card I thought,
"If she did this with one hand, I need help!" This is so cute and I couldn't do this well with 2 good hands much less one after surgery. But what a relief! You had two good hands! LOL

Hope and pray for a full and complete healing and little to no discomfort. Mine only hurt the first day after the pain meds. wore off. After that it was fine.
