Hero Arts Summer Catalog - Color Layering!

Hello! Today begins a week of sneak peeks of new 2016 Summer Catalog products on the Hero Arts blog! The catalog will be revealed on the blog on April 18, and products will begin showing up at retailers that week as well. All of the new goodies will be released in the Hero Arts store on May 11!! Exciting!!

Today's peek shows new Color Layering products - so I'm sharing a Color Layering card, too! I'm actually sharing another look at a card included in the photo on the Hero Arts blog. I absolutely *love* this new Color Layering Seahorse set!!

I stamped the seahorse using Aquatic and Summer Sky hybrid inks, and finished with a layer of Unicorn white pigment ink. The shells are Ultra Pink with Unicorn on top. That's a little idea I learned from Yana, she's such a creative genius. :-) I added clear embossing to the Unicorn ink as well.

To soften the shell background a bit, I covered it with vellum. I added a bit of strategic adhesive behind the message strip, then added messy stitching around the edge. I'm a fan of messy stitching. Mostly because I cannot sew straight to save my life. ;-)
