Get Cracking on Christmas! + Giveaway!

Today I'm so excited to be joining some crafty friends to GET CRACKING ON CHRISTMAS!! I'm hoping that joining these ladies will keep me working on holiday cards throughout the year, so by December I'll have a big stash all ready to go! Have you ever done this? I'm usually the Queen of Procrastination, so my Christmas cards start to happen mid-December, which typically means photo cards. But I'd be so thrilled to actually send out handmade cards this year. Because, you know, it's just a wee bit pathetic that I don't, working for a stamp company and all....!!

For this post, I'm sharing a slew of bear cards I've made. One of my absolute all-time favorite dies from Hero Arts is this Paper Layering Bear!

Isn't he gorgeous? I love pairing him with watercolors. He can be whichever kind of bear you'd like! Perhaps a black bear?

Or a brown bear?

Or a polar bear?

Maybe next I'll make him a purple bear, just because I can.

On all of these cards, I paired him with messages from the Off-Beat Holiday Messages set. There are so many funny sayings in there!! I love the "filthy animal" message with him - it cracks me up! And I have to admit, Home Alone is one of my family's favorite Christmas movies...!

For the polar bear, I also used a gorgeous stencil called Pop Pattern, which I combined with Nuvo glimmer paste that I tinted purple with the same Orchid Bold Ink I used for the message.

I just happen to have an extra of both the stencil and the message set, so I'll give them away to one lucky person who comments. I'll throw in a Color Layering Baby Penguin set too - I wish I had another bear die to give away, but hopefully those happy penguins will do.
