Hello friends! Today I am hopping with Hero Arts to introduce their 2021 Holiday Catalog collection! The release is packed full of wonderful new products! For my projects today, I was working with some fun new stencils and my Marabu art crayons.
For this first project, I worked with the Nativity Stencil. I love the design in the sky! I was using gray mixed media paper as my base, and colored right through the stencil with the art crayons,
Some of the details were added freehand, like these wisemen. Through the stencil they would be left the color of the background paper, so I just drew them in. In general the stencil was used as more of a general guide, with additional details added with the art crayons.
Next I played with the Mountain Scene Stencil.
Much like with the Nativity Stencil, the stencil here was used a a guide, adding the Marabu art crayons and blending with the paintbrush. The combo of these amazing stencils and the art crayons was really fun to work with!
Now it's time to hop! Hero Arts will give away THREE $50 gift cards, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, August 29th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.
