Finally CASEing KED!

This week's SCS featured stamper was KED, aka Kirsten DuBosque. I've been a fan of her blog with the totally cool name (Confessions of a Naptime Stamper) for a while now. And looking through her gallery was quite a treat - soooo many adorable cards to choose from! After much debate I decided to CASE the layout (more or less) of this card. So what inspired me to turn her sweet Bella card into a row of guitars?? Tonight was my BIL's 30th birthday so we took him to dinner at Applebees, where we also listened to some excellent Uncle Bruce Music. Huh? Uncle Bruce Music?? That's what my sister, brother and I call people who play acoustic guitar and harmonize, covering songs by the likes of Simon & Garfunkel, America, Loggins & Messina, Jimmy Buffet, etc etc etc. Our Uncle Bruce has been playing & singing for as long as I can remember, my life has been filled with family gatherings sitting in the livingroom listening, humming & smiling as Uncle Bruce played. It's my favorite music to chill out & sing along to! Tonight's music was EXCELLENT - The Detentions. If you're in Austin, check them out!! I think I sang along with nearly every song they played. And get this... they also threw in a set of 80's music, including INXS (Don't Change) and my all-time favorite 80's song, Melt With You by Modern English!!! (If you've been reading this blog, you know I love 80's music!!) So there's the inspiration for this card - acoustic guitars and I Melt With You. If somebody (I guess that somebody should be Joel!) ever gave me a card with that sentiment, I would completely melt! I can't think of anything more romantic. :-)
