Poor little Zoofari, it's not getting very much love! Some think the snake looks like it's smokin' weed, others think the birds look constipated... whatever! I think this set is adorable! (but I also happen to think those two previous observations are hilarious!) Maybe I love it because I'm still in baby mode - yes my "baby" is almost a year and a half and hardly a baby anymore, but he's still
my baby! And my friends can't seem to stop having babies... So anyway, I love this sweet little Zoofari set, and if you are one of the many that hates it, you may not be liking a lot of stuff on my blog in the next month!! LOL! Tonight I was trying to figure out a card to do for a demonstrator swap I've signed up for. My upline's upline's upline's upline is hosting - the fabulous and talented Kathy Rocco, if you happen to know her. :-) I will probably end up doing something like this, but not this exactly - for one thing, I don't have enough brads! :-) In addition to Zoofari, I also played with the Hugs & Wishes sentiment set, and also the new In Color papers!!!! I AM LOVING THEM!! This card has Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi, and also the Soft Sky Prints DP. I colored in the little rhino using the squished lid ink from the Blue Bayou pad and my aquapainter, and then sponged on a little Wild Wasabi. The faux stitching is done with the paper piercing template & a white gel pen, and the ribbons are all SU. This is the first time in ages I've used all SU products on a card!! I'm trying to get back into Demonstrator Mode! Ok, right... don't count on that lasting! But it's required for this swap... :-) Have a great Monday everyone, thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteOops I messed up the previous post. I wanted to say that this card was adorable, but my fingers were not working. I guess it is to early.
ReplyDeletegreat job, this is adorable, and I know what you mean about it being hard to use only SU. I try for classes only to use SU, but for everyday stamping I find myself reaching for a whole variety of stuff.
ReplyDeleteThough i'm not crazy for the zoofari set, I do LOVE the LO of your card, and the colours are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card! The layout is so flattering to that cut rhino! I have to admit that seeing this set in black & white (o.k...grey and white :-) in the Preview Brochure didn't spark any "hurry up and buy" feelings. But seriously, after seeing how cute you make it look, I really am reconsidering!
ReplyDeleteI just went back and looked at the picture of that set again and it definitely looks like the snake is smoking weed, but the rest of the set is too cute! I love what you did with it!
ReplyDeleteI think it is cute! I really like the new in-color colors together.
ReplyDeleteLove this card!
ReplyDeleteTrying to decide if I NEED this set, not many babies around here but the animals are cute.
I am trying to get into demo mode again too but so far...nada.
I love it, Libby! I didn't order this in my pre-order...but had to go back and order in my 2nd round. I love the colors, brads, and your faux stitching and coloring look great!
ReplyDeleteI think it's going to be easier to get back into the "demo mode" when we get to order all of that new stuff. Did you see the July S&S? I'd better start sweetening up DH! Ha, ha!
What a great card, love the stamps and the color is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute! I love those colors - can't wait to get mine! I like the layout, as well!
ReplyDeleteI think the set is funny, actually, and it could be used for more than just baby cards so -- good choice! It'll be fun to see all your cards! Love your use of the new colors and I like the layout with the three panels. Love the faux stitching, too!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a fan of the set, but this card may change that! Very very very cute! Your coloring is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteDa bomb... love how you mixed the colors too! It's Zooifric! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is darling! I'm lovin the colors on this one!! I thought I could live without this stamp set...but I'm second guessing myself!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love when new people come visit my blog and leave the address for their blog! I've been looking through your awesome samples and found this little guy, which I originally found on SCS then cased and changed a bit for my stamp club a couple of months back! Too funny! Well, you know I love the card, but I love all of your other stuff as well! I'm glad you found me, I'll be adding a link to you!
