Joy fold card

Hi all! Here's another project from the latest hostess club meeting, where we did some fun folds on our cards - this one is called the "joy fold", apparently originated by somebody named Joy, but I apologize to this Joy because I do not know who she is or I would link to her. :-) I had seen other cards using this fold, and then followed Beate's fabulous tutorial (when does Beate write anything but a fabulous tutorial??). Those observant readers of my blog will notice that I used the same Double Line Doodle design that I did on a warm-up card a while back - I thought it was just too cute and worth repeating! :-) Colors on this card are Blue Bayou, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi & Rose Red. The main heart was colored with Rose Red marker and then had gold stickles added (have I ever mentioned I love Stickles???) :-) The card stays closed with a little photo turn from the Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware set.

Well today is a Happy Tuesday at our house - Joel and I are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary today. He has taken the day off, and he's mowing the lawn at the moment (we are STILL getting rain in Central Texas - unheard of in July!!! Starting to think we should build an ark! Thankfully we have never been flooded (we are rather high up!) but our grass has required a lot more mowing this year than a typical Texas summer!) but then his anniversary gift to me is to entertain the munchkin so I can spend some time in my stamp room - it's still a COMPLETE disaster (actually worse than the previous photos I posted, if you can imagine - after my retreat 2 weekends ago I just dumped all my scrapbook stuff in there and haven't put away anything!!) - so HOPEFULLY I can make a lot of progress on it today & maybe even do a little stamping once I find my desk again!
