So yesterday I was cleaning my stamp room. Have you heard me say that before? Yes, it's a never ending struggle for me to keep this little room clean! But after a couple friends at my last hostess club meeting pleaded with me to let them look at it, disaster area that it was, I decided I needed to get it neat & organized before NEXT month's meeting, so they could see how it's SUPPOSED to look! :-) Plus I've felt like stamping and once again could not access my desk...! So as I cleaned, I found some shopping bags - purchases that I hadn't even taken out of the bags, just deposited somewhere on the floor in my room and more or less forgot about. How sad is that?? One thing I found was this great little caddy from Fiskars that I had found at Stamp Salado back in July. I had been storing my Prismacolors in the box they came it - which is a very nice box, but I wanted them sitting on my desk where I could easily see them. I knew this caddy was exactly what I wanted for this purpose the minute I saw it. I'm sure it's the same with many who read this - but I just LOVE art supplies! Looking at them makes me so happy. Walking into an art supply store is pure heaven to me. So seeing these beautiful colored pencils setting out on my desk brings a big smile to my face. And it makes me want to use them even more!
When I let my friends see my terribly embarrassing stamp room a week ago, they were actually impressed with some of my storage solutions - which is somewhat funny considering they could barely enter the room due to all the junk on the floor! But it's true, despite being a slob, I'm also quite organized, if that makes any sense at all!??! :-) So I thought a fun Sunday feature for my blog would be to either highlight a storage solution that I use and love, or point you to something cool I've found on another blog. I'm sure a lot will be old news to many of you, but you never know what might be a fun, inspiring idea to somebody out there! So I hope you enjoy my Storage Solution Sundays! :-)

What a nice bouquet of pencils! They looks very inviting that way! I may give it a try
ReplyDeleteLove the way the pencils look in the container. I saw these at my LSS, but passed them up. Now I think I NEED them. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteWhat a great storage solution for your Prismacolor Pencils...and very pretty to look at. I call my area(s) "organized clutter". Lol! But lately...it's mostly been just clutter. Not so well organized. Think I need to get busy as well.
ReplyDeleteGreat solution for your Prisma's, my color pencils are organized in those magnetic locker pencil holders according to color. I stick them on my File cabinet which is next to my desk so that I save desk space, although I have to say that I love how your bouquet of pencils looks! Can't wait for you to post cards from your almost organized room lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool feature! I just love this little storage solution you got here...I want to get my pencils out and visible too...great idea.
ReplyDeletelibby, i love this picture.... its so calming and they just scream "use me"!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I love your little caddy. It reminds me of flower pots, especially with all those beautiful Prismacolor Pencils! I'll be looking forward to the storage and organization solutions you have to share. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks so pretty! Don't you just want to sit down and USE them right now, seeing them all displayed so nice?
ReplyDeleteI am looking to invest in some more coloring supplies and was wondering how you like and use your pencils. I am trying to decide between those, COPICs, and the SU markers. Any advice?
