In CASE you missed it...

Tonight I'm posting a couple more cards from my October hostess club meeting. Both of these were CASE'd from very talented ladies I found on SCS - because I was having major creative block and CASE'ing makes my life soooo much easier! And, I just loved these cards!! Both used the Autumn Fest set from SU, one of my favorites for this time of year!

The first was inspired by this fabulous card by Joan Ness. I loved Joan's card and changed very little - just altered the layout very slightly and chose a different leaf. :-) The leaf was stamped using the baby wipe technique. We used dots of Old Olive, More Mustard and Ruby Red reinkers on a baby wipe, turning it into a unique ink pad. I just love how this technique looks on leaves! Thanks Joan for the wonderful inspiration!!

This second card was inspired by this fun card by dlounds. I thought it was just hilarious - so clever to use the nuts that way!! On my version we stamped the belated birthday sentiment on the inside. Thanks dlounds, this was such a great idea! I rarely send a birthday card on time (pathetic, I know) so I love fun ideas for belated birthday cards! And I just recently placed my first Close to My Heart order, so I got to try out one of my new alphabet sets for the "oh nuts!". I am really loving clear stamps for spelling out words - too cool!!!

I'm tired so I'm going to skip giving all the blah blah blah details about everything I used on each card - they are pretty simple cards, but if you're dying to know what something is, just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you! :-) Thanks for stopping by!
