My Last Swap...

I made this Santa back in September for a swap hosted by Corie, one of the nicest & most thoughtful bloggers out there! You can see the rest of the cards from Corie's swap here, they all used sets from SU's Holiday Mini. The reason I titled this post "My Last Swap" is because I have officially sworn off swaps!! This is by no means a reflection on Corie or her swap, she was a fabulous hostess and all the ladies created gorgeous cards to share. I just happen to SUCK at swapping!!! I am always determined to finish early but without fail procrastinate until the very last minute (for this swap, I even emailed Corie and told her I'd be mailing them early, how embarrassing!). It always turns into a stressful ordeal for me. And this particular swap I messed up big time! Corie had specified we use SU products only!! See if you can count how many non-SU products are on this card! Let's see... Prismacolors, gamsol, Patina Stickles, Liquid Applique, black glaze pen, scallop scissors, Michael's ribbon, Cuttlebug... oh and the sentiment is from a RETIRED SU set, not a current set! Geesh!! I realized what I had done shortly before the swaps were due and emailed a confession to Corie - being the sweetheart that she is, she sent a super kind email back and told me to mail them in anyway! I so appreciated that. At any rate... I did like how this card turned out, but boy did I break the rules!!! So, no more swaps for me - maybe I'll follow rules better once the preggo-brain goes away (I am severely afflicted with it at the moment!), but I'm sure I'll still be a procrastinator. So if you see me signing up for one of your swaps (because I can rarely resist signing up, even though I know I have this affliction!) you may just want to send a note and REJECT ME!! :-)
