Well here it is - my very first attempt coloring with my Copics!! Please be kind - I still have a lot to learn! But wow do I love these markers!!!! (Good thing, huh? Would really stink to spend that much and not love them!!) I love how when you color it all just blends together nicely, I am really bad about streaky coloring with my SU markers. But I haven't completely gotten the hang of the colorless blender yet - I got some smearing I didn't mean to have, I think because I was going a little too crazy with the blending! I used another new thing last night on this card - one of my super cute new Elzybells! I ordered this a while ago from the
UK - before my Copic purchase and my vow not to spend any more money!! But they only just arrived late last week. Of course after I placed the order, this same image became available at the
North America site!! But I do love how much bigger the UK version is. But really, I shouldn't have ordered it - I paid way too much, this stamp should be gold plated for what it ended up costing!!! Good thing it's cute though. :-) I went with the
CC150 color combo again on this card - I just love the Real Red, Blue Bayou & Soft Sky together! And I had that red & white polka dot DP scrap lying on my desk, a leftover from the Minnie invites & thank yous I made a little while back. So it all worked out perfectly! I ordered my Copics from
Ellen Hutson - and I have to say that once again she is THE BEST! She includes with the order her recommendations for matching the Copics with the SU colors! It takes out so much guesswork & time, having to figure it out yourself! She spent a LOT of time doing all the work for us!! The layout for this card is pretty simple - since the image is so big I figured the layout didn't need a whole lot of other stuff going on. I made this for a friend who I thought could use a little inky hug in her mailbox, I hope she likes it. Thanks for stopping by today!!

ReplyDeleteSuper cute card! I am VERY impatiently awaiting my Elzybells NA to arrive...and I am ashamed to say how much I spent there. It would have been enough almost for another box of copics, sigh.
