This morning I couldn't fall back asleep after Courtney's 4:30am feeding (WHY!?!) so instead of staring at the ceiling I decided to get up and stamp! I checked Reader for some ideas - was hoping to find Beate's sketch but it wasn't there yet that early - sad - but then I found a
really tough challenge over on Sharon's blog!!
She challenged us to use GLITTER!!!!!! So I stepped waaayyyy outside my comfort zone and used some glitter on this card! LOL! Ok it wasn't really a challenge at all for me, I'm a glitter junkie - but I love having an "excuse" to use my awesome fine cosmo glitter! I did actually impose another challenge on myself when making this card, though - it's going to my upline (actually, to my upline's upline's upline's upline! The wonderful, talented and kind Kathy Rocco! I don't know if she reads this regularly - if so, Hi Kathy!!) so I wanted to use only Stampin' Up products. I love SU, but it's been a while since I've used only SU stuff! But in the end I blew it - I used a little black glaze pen on the flower - but that being the ONLY non-SU thing I used is a pretty darn good accomplishment for me! Amazingly I had a great Sale-a-bration month, and even promoted to Supervisor, which is really funny since this is the first quarter since I've "scaled back" on being a demo - no more parties, hostess club, etc. I knew I wouldn't have time for all that for a while. But I offered my customers (ie my friends!) a good discount instead so they'd help keep me active, and then out of the blue my friend
Lucy sent an email saying she'd like to be a demo herself - next thing I know I see
my own name when Kathy sent our team's quarterly stats and stars! Too funny! Kathy is so amazing - she sent a very generous gift to all of her achievers! So this is my small thank you to her. I really hope she doesn't read my blog regularly so the first time she sees the card is in her mailbox. I should wait to post this, but I can't. I'm a blog addict. Hence the name, Libby's Little Addiction. Ok better go - as I've mentioned, lots and lots of things I SHOULD be doing...! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, she's going to love this. Wow--look at that sparkle! I love how the scallops look with this flower. I guess it's time I used up some more of these images I have stamped out. Got to be in the mood, though...
