...gutted out of it's usual happy little space and stacked up on my dining room table!! Oh the horror!! We had new carpet installed today in my stamp room (and in our bedroom), and I am so overwhelmed by the idea of putting all of this back in its rightful home that it still sits there as I type this. As a result, sadly, I am not ready for my blogoversary extravaganza!!!!! I think I will postpone that until WEDNESDAY, so please check back then for sure, if not before!! I will have some blog candy that you won't want to miss out on! Until then, you may not see much of me. This weekend has been declared The Final Weekend of Serious Cleaning. Our realtor arranged for a photographer to come on Tuesday to film our virtual tour of the house to put on the web. So everything has to be spic and span and perfect by then. Yikes! If you saw my house right now, you would not believe this is possible! But I am semi-confident I can pull it off.
BTW, part of my process of clearing out everything from my stamp room was to box up nearly all of my Stampin' Up sets as well as some other random stamps. Here they are, all stacked into one GIGANTIC computer box. My sister has so kindly offered to "store" them for me until we move into our new house. My friend Christina offered too! Apparently when it's a box of stamps, the offers come in like mad.
(Funny how nobody has offered to store our winter clothes or our Christmas decorations...) Problem is, one GIGANTIC box of stamps weighs a TON, so hopefully we'll be able to actually get it over to my sister's place! Ok I better get to sleep at a decent hour tonight since I am going to be a cleaning fool the next three days! I know having the house on the market is going to be a different kind of stressful, but I am so looking forward to next week, having everything done and clean and in it's place, and having the photos taken and a sign in the front yard. I feel like that will reduce my stress level A LOT. I hope I'm right about that. I know I've been really stressed out and flakey and whiney on here (and in emails & in person!!) too much in recent weeks & months (new baby, lack of sleep & crazy hormones don't help!) - I hope to be more like my old self soon! Thanks for sticking with me - I've had SO MUCH FUN with this blog, I can't believe a year has gone by already since I started it. But blah, can't get sappy about that just yet... must save it for WEDNESDAY!! LOL. Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Libby ... man, goodluck with the cleaning, the move, the baby... sending happy thoughts and lots of energy your way!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything -- hang in there you will be fine!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary!
ReplyDeleteWaggin TX tails Barking Loud!
I wouldn't trust your sister! I mean really, when could sisters EVER be trusted? (Or is that just mine??)
ReplyDeleteRead Carter's "The Little Engine That Could" if you need inspiration for the clean-up, and you'll have it done in no time.
Good luck!
Best of luck with it all, Libby! Sending cyber hugs!!
ReplyDeleteAs the little sister I promise I am trustworthy...at least in this case. They may get a lot of use at my apartment, but they will get back to you as promised. Oh, and if you really want to fill my spare bedroom with other stuff, I'm okay with that too, even winter clothes and Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteSorry Laura! I guess some people lucked out and got NICE sisters. Then again, you're the little sister, like me, and everyone knows the little sisters are the sweet ones. :D
ReplyDeleteWow Libby - sounds like you've got an awful lot on your plate! I felt overwhelmed for you just reading your post!! Love your new site look and page banner - the colors are so fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou've sure got your hands full! I'd probably have to quit my job if we ever wanted to sell our house. I'll BET that box of stamps weighs a ton. Good luck with everything, Libby!
