Sorry I'm a little slow posting today - ironically, Courtney hasn't wanted me to have time to myself this morning to get on the computer...! She's still putting up a fight about going down for her nap as I type this. I guess she doesn't realize she needs her beauty sleep, so she will continue to be my sweet little photogenic bundle of blog fodder. ;-) For today's installment of
From Courtney's Closet, I dressed her in another of my favorite dresses. This one is actually the first thing I bought for her when I found out I was having a girl. It's been hanging in her closet waiting for me to
put it on her - problem is, it's a really pretty little dress, and we don't go anywhere "fancy" enough for it. But when I was deciding what to stamp for this week's card, I looked at the tag and realized it was size 6M!! Eeek! She's on the verge of outgrowing it and she hasn't even worn it! So, wear it she did - not to anywhere fancy, but to pose for some photos in our livingroom, and then head out on a shopping trip to Target! And I have to say, she was the best dressed baby at the place. LOL. Today's dress is also a little different than a lot of what she wears - it could inspire a more "elegant" card rather than the cute stuff I tend more toward. I thought about making a really elegant card myself, but I just didn't have it in me! Instead I reached for my Matilda Muffinbread
Chichiboulie, which much like Courtney's dress, had never been used (gasp!). I thought the little dress on the image sort of mimicked Courtney's dress, because the way I stamped it, it's supposed to be a sort of "sheer" top layer on her skirt. I decided to use a Making Memories metal sentiment I've had in my stash for ages, "Smile", because a) Courtney makes me smile and b) the thought of a cupcake-wielding fairy most certainly makes me smile!!! In this case, her cupcake is paper pieced and then covered with diamond glaze. I also found this eyelet ribbon in my stash and thought it matched pretty well. So there you have it!! Feel like playing this week? You know I'd be *thrilled* if you did! Just link back here and let me know you did, and if you upload to Splitcoast use keyword FCCC (just FCCC, no numbers!). There were some super duper cute cards based on
last week's outfit!! Check them out!
Sue, of course, played along (you know, Sue, I'm so used to you playing, I will be utterly crushed now if you ever decide not to play...! LOL). I just LOVE her card, it's so cute, and that sentiment is adorable.
But Sue isn't the only one making a "habit" of this challenge (LOL - making a "habit" of the challenge on "Libby's Little Addiction"... tee hee!).
Kathryn played again with this super cutie!
And
Diane played again too - love how she stamped the flower and punched the butterflies right on the DP, which is just like Courtney's outfit.
Then there's
Maria, who says she's now hooked on my challenge! Yay!! She made another gorgeous card!!
Monica played again too. She beat herself up over this card, but I LOVE IT! Yes, Monica, I said it - I love it! It's not just "cheerful and fun" but adorable too! So there! ;-)
And I had newbies this week too, which I LOVE!
Vickilyn burst onto the
FCCC scene with this wonderful scrapbook page. She's my hero because she MADE those flowers! Someday I will learn to crochet...!
Stacey made this sweet and pretty butterfly card.
And three cheers for
Ashley!! She's been saying every week "I'm going to play someday..." Well, that day finally came!! I'm so glad you jumped in this week Ashley!!
Thanks everyone, I hope I didn't miss any of the cards! I so love seeing what you come up with!!! And thanks everyone else for stopping by today!! I need to run - will add the recipe later - I spent soooo long typing up this post and linking up everyone that I am now on the verge of being late picking up my son from preschool... oops! ;-)
Courtney's dress is just gorgeous, as is she!!! And I'll bet she WAS the most beautifully dressed baby in Target -- LOL!!! TFS this fun challenge, and WOW, what a great bunch of cards from others last week -- so fun!!!
