Today is both my fourth day of
Hambo Week
(don't forget - 15% off at Hambo Stamps with code LIBLUVSHAMBO!) and the return of
From Courtney's Closet after a one week hiatus! First I want to thank those of you who checked in last Thursday and left well wishes. I am feeling much better now! Now on to today's outfit... it's not the one I mentioned last Thursday, you'll have to wait until next week to see that. Instead I went with a Halloween theme, since I've been doing Halloween stuff all week. I hope you all feel like making Halloween cards!! (Sorry Sue - maybe you can focus more on the black than the dreaded ORANGE!) :-) For today's photo of Courtney... well... would you think I've gone off my rocker if I told you I went out and bought a Halloween outfit, and then went to a pumpkin patch for cute photo ops, all to get a photo for my FCCC post??!?!?! You would? Well then - of course I didn't do
anything that crazy!!! *wink* Ok in all honesty I wanted to get photos of her with the pumpkins anyway, so it's not like I'm completely obsessed with stamping and blogging... are you buying any of this..??? :-) Well anyway, I better just tell you about the card now...!! Today's stamp is Black Cat from Hambo Stamps. Courtney's outfit doesn't have a cat on it, but it does have a sequined pumpkin, so I decided to use this stamp since it has a big, cute pumpkin on it. I said yesterday that the skeleton is my favorite Hambo Halloween stamp, but I may have lied - I love this one an awful lot too. That cat is just too cool. I don't know if you can tell in the photo, but I gave him some pretty wicked eyes! They are colored with yellow marker, and then they have a dot of yellow Souffle pen right in the center! For the pumpkin, instead of sequins, it's covered in Orange Peel Stickles. The Making Memories bat brads are green this time, and the orange ribbon is some of the brand new stuff I got from
Jody. I *really* struggled with this card, I could not come up with anything I liked. So even if you think it's the ugliest thing you've ever seen, why don't you lie too and tell me how much you love it? My mojo may stay in hiding unless it gets some stroking. hee hee Well I hope Courtney's cutie patootie pumpkin photo inspires you to stamp something!! If it does, make sure and let me know where to find your creation. If you happen to upload to SCS, please use keyword FCCC. And now I need to dig back in my archives from two weeks ago and figure out who played in the last challenge... Several of you found
Courtney's red gingham to be inspiring! And BOY there were some GORGEOUS cards created!! Look at what
Sue came up with this week, isn't it just fabulous??
Maria was back in action, and her card was completely yummy!
This incredibly sweet card was created by
Anita:
Leslie found some free time from all of her Stamping Superstar duties to play along - YAY! And she broke in her new Prismacolor markers in the process:
Jenn enjoyed playing so much her first time that she came back and joined us again, and created another completely yummy strawberry card. Her strawberries are made with a heart punch, how clever is that??
Kathryn perfectly combined simple and adorable:
Ashley went with the butterfly accent from Courtney's dress and created this gingham cutie:
And
Stacey's sweet butterfly is trying to flutter right off the card:
Last but certainly not least - MY FAVORITE!
Megan played for the first time and created this GORGEOUS card!! Her butterfly was a blossom, she just removed a petal to create two wings. So creative!!
Megan, please email me your snail mail address at stampinlibby at gmail dot com, and I'll put a little something in the mail to you. Thanks everyone for playing!! And thanks everyone else for visiting!! I hope some of you find time to play along with me this week!
