The card I posted last night came about as a "side effect" of making this project! For something a little different, I decided to create some place cards for my Thanksgiving table using the
Harvest Fun set from
FireCracker Designs by Pamela! As I stamped these leaves, I was stamping off onto my grid paper that lines my work surface - and I realized it looked awfully pretty, so I started stamping off onto that card instead! Love it when serendipitous things like that happen! But as for these place cards, they could not be more simple. I just stamped the leaves using Stampin' Up markers, stamped our names using my larger snap stamps, added a little ribbon, brads and a corner rounder, and
voila! Done! I can't wait to see how they look on my table next month! (FYI - this is much more
Martha Stewart-esque than I usually am! I love cooking the dinner, but I'm not that great at decorating the table! And by the way, do you notice something a little funny?? I couldn't leave Courtney out! So, her highchair will be getting a place card as well! Just to be sure nobody else sits there by mistake...) :-) Thanks for stopping by today!
- Stamps: Harvest Fun from FireCracker Designs by Pamela, Karen Foster Snap Stamps

Brilliant Libby! May have to steal your idea! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice....but hey you forgot my name and my hubby's Diane and Greg....only kidding!!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to pass this on to my sister, she was looking for some placecards to do. Now you need to stamp matching paper napkins!!!
Great idea Libby! I love how they turned out.
ReplyDeleteHow cute---I love your table placecards---they turned out fantastic. What a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty these will be on your table! And of course you couldn't leave Courtney out! Darling idea!
ReplyDeleteThese are sooooo pretty, Libby!! I love those leaves, your rounded corners, and pretty ribbon!! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice, Libby! Very Martha Stewart, indeed. Carter will feel pretty important with his own place card, too. I also use grid paper on my stamping surface. It looks so pretty sometimes but I can never seem to repeat the design satisfactorily. You, however, did a great job on your card!
