This month my set to play with for
FireCracker Designs by Pamela is
Harvest Fun. I love Fall - or, at least I used to when I lived in Michigan. There isn't a whole lot to Fall in central Texas, summer pretty much just blends into winter here. I miss the colorful leaves, and the crisp air, and the visits to the cider mills. Here all I can do is stamp some nice Fall leaves! The leaves on this card are colored with my Stampin' Up markers - first More Mustard, then pounced with a little Pumpkin Pie, and then a bit of Really Rust added here and there, and I just kept stamping off until the stamp was dry. I like the impression of wind blowing through the leaves this created. The ribbon is Martha Stewart twill - it was white, I colored it with a Copic marker to match the colors of the card. Doing this makes the ribbon a lot more stiff, but not too stiff to tie in a knot. This is one of the more simple and quick cards I've made recently, but I do like how it turned out. Thanks for stopping by today.

ReplyDeleteLibby you are so right, it does look like the wind it blowing them along. Reminds me of "Pooh's Blustery Day!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I love the effect of the stamping off. I love how your twill turned out, too. Hmmmm...it stiffens the ribbon. I wonder why.
