I actually made this card Sunday night, but never got around to posting it - oh, the horror! ;-) This was to play along with the
Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast this week - and this time it was
Lori Craig! I own a couple of
Cornish Heritage Farms Elvis stamps, and it's basically all Lori's fault! As soon as I saw her first sneak peek of a card made with them, I *KNEW* I had to get me some Elvises!!! So naturally I had to find an Elvis card in Lori's gallery to CASE, and I chose
this one. It's probably not the best choice for the FS challenge, since Lori was playing along with one of Beate's sketch challenges when she created it - but it was the fact that it's Elvis, and because I *LOVE* the way she did the guitars along the edge, that made me choose it, so I went with it anyway. So what did I change?
1. I used different, but similar, stamps.
2. I added color -
Lori's was monochromatic.
3. I stamped my sentiment directly below Elvis rather than putting it on it's own panel.
I loooove how Elvis' jacket turned out, completely blinged out! I colored it first with a gold paint pen, then went over it with gold Stickles! BLING BABY BLING!! :-) Thanks Lori for the super fun inspiration, and for "making me" buy these Elvis stamps in the first place. :-) And thanks for stopping by today!
