I'm loving this guitar-playing cowboy image from Deadbeat Designs. Did you know that Austin, Texas is the live music capital of the world? I read it on the wall in our airport, so it must be true...! Well if nothing else, I'm sure you've heard of a little show called Austin City Limits, have you not? We've caught a lot of fantastic live shows since moving to Austin, although not so many in the past few years since losing our social lives (aka having kids). But I do have to say that one of the very best things that happened to me when I moved to Austin was I discovered this man:
Sigh. Lyle Lovett. I love him so much!! I can't even remember how many times I've seen him live now. I'm thinking at least seven. Maybe more? We saw him this past November and he was just as wonderful as always. Here's a song I've been humming lately, "and the lights of, LA County, were like diamonds, in the sky..."
We just got back from a vacation to LA County! (Although, please note, we did NOT bring a .45 with us on our vacation...) We did stuff in and around Los Angeles - we took the kids to Disneyland, among other things! (we ventured outside of LA County for that...!) :-)
It was lots of fun - if you're so inclined you can read more about our vacation HERE.
And now, after this long-winded post of mine, why don't you head on over and see what my Texas Two-steppin' buddies are up to today? I know that Betty has a fun creation for you! I think the others are busy this week, but I'll update this post if I see anymore creations pop up! (ETA: Tina is now a regular Tues-stepper too, check her out!!)
And... just like last month, if you are feeling inspired to make a Texas-themed card yourself, please be sure to link it up down below!! At the end of the month I'll do a little round-up of any fabby Texas creations I've found. Hope to see you play this month!
Happy Stamping!

ReplyDeleteGreat post today Libby, enjoyed the card...but had fun browsing the vacation pics...made me tired thinking of all the stuff your did in such a short time! How fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Libby - This is amazing!

ReplyDeleteLove your cowboy card Libby.
Love your card Libby!!
ReplyDeleteI love Lyle too!!! Have only seen him live once, but I listen to him all the time :)
That's right, I'm not from Texas...
That's right, I'm not from Texas...
Texas wants me anyway! :)
And the Long Tall Texan song cracks me up.
And the song with "wait, don't turn that page...I wasn't finished yet" ha ha ha!
Go Austin, Go Texas, go Lyle, and most of all -- GO LIBBY! WOO HOO!
OMG -- we really WERE separated at birth!!!! You have no idea how much I *LOVE* Lyle Lovett! In an adult way (as opposed to my tweeny love for JT). ;) Sean says our song is "She's No Lady"... thanks, honey. I've seen him in concert several times; in fact, I think THIS should be our next planned get together -- Lyle won't let us down a la Nick Rhodes, I'm sure of it!
ReplyDeleteOh, great card and adorable kiddos, too! :)
Love your Texas Tuesday card Libby! That image is great and I love how you have coloured it and added sparkle to the middle shirt. That's a super cute photo of Carter and Courtney with Mickey Mouse!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if Lance Armstrong could sing because I was sure it was going to be him before I scrolled down to the photo!!
