I decided to play with the adorable little DeNami Elephant. I paper pieced him with some pretty floral paper. But then I worried that this wasn't enough floral to count as a floral frenzy, so I added some daisies from my stash to the polka dots on the patterned paper! Kind of fun, yes? :-)
DeNami Design has a ton of fun planned for this hop!! First and foremost, they are giving away TWO $20 gift certificates to random hoppers!! So be sure to leave lots of comments on all the blogs before 11:59pm PST tomorrow night (March 14) for lots of chances to win! Also, because the blog hop filled up so quickly, DeNami has an additional opportunity for those who weren't able to get on the list! There's a linkie widget on the DeNami post, go there and add your own floral card for a chance to win!! They're offering up a guaranteed spot in the next hop AND some stamps, woohoo!!
A bunch of my Play Date Cafe teammates are playing along with the hop today - because guess who's going to be our wonderful sponsor on Thursday - that's right, DeNami Design! Woohoo!! We're getting our DeNami groove on and getting ready!! :-)
A couple more card details - I played along with Tiff's Sketchy Sunday #10 for the card layout, although I cheated a bit and overlapped the panels. But I did round my corners, and that was key! LOL!
ETA: Tiffany picked my card as one of her Sketchy Sunday Faves!! Yay!! Thanks, Tiff!
Now back to my regularly scheduled post... :-)
This is also my card for this week's Catered Crop Follow the Recipe challenge! Have you played along yet?? This week we are inspired to use the recipe from Lisa's adorable card. I went with the gingham paper, the Spring theme and Spring colors, flowers, ribbon and a bow. Why don't you join us? There's some glorious felt up for grabs, and it could end up being your card we use to cook up our next designs!!
Now to continue along the hop, head on over to Nicki Scheck's fabulous blog!!
Thanks for stopping by!
